Auction Cash Partner Information
Before We Go Any Further
Auction Cash is not a retail sales channel.
If you’re looking to achieve close to retail value for your stock, we’re probably not the right fit.
What we do is help businesses turn surplus stock into cash, free up space and move inventory that is no longer earning its keep.
The businesses that work best with us understand that sometimes recovering cash and creating space is more valuable than holding stock indefinitely.
What Kind Of Stock Works Best?
The biggest factor in auction success is buyer demand.
It doesn’t matter whether you’ve got 5 items or 5,000 items.
What matters is whether buyers are likely to want them.
The stock that performs best on our platform usually falls into one of two categories.
1. Exceptional Value
Buyers come to auctions looking for bargains.
The strongest-performing stock is normally available significantly below normal retail pricing.
This is why we typically work with manufacturers, wholesalers, importers and distributors rather than retailers.
The reality is simple.
If buyers believe they are getting a genuine bargain, bidding activity increases.
If the pricing isn’t attractive, interest usually isn’t either.
2. Rare, Collectible Or Hard-To-Find Stock
Some products perform well because they’re difficult to obtain through normal retail channels.
Examples include:
-
Collectibles
-
Discontinued lines
-
One-off opportunities
-
Limited production items
-
End-of-line stock
-
Unusual inventory
Buyers know they may not get another opportunity to purchase these products, which often creates strong competition.
How Much Stock Do I Need?
There is no minimum quantity.
Some partners provide large quantities of stock.
Others may only have:
-
4 units of one product
-
10 units of another
-
A handful of discontinued lines
-
A few collectible items
-
Small clearance opportunities
Quantity is not the deciding factor.
Buyer demand is.
What We Are Not Looking For
We are generally not a good fit if:
-
The stock is still selling well through your existing channels
-
You’re hoping to achieve close to retail value
-
The pricing doesn’t create a genuine buying opportunity
-
The stock has no clear value advantage or collectability
The most successful vendors understand that Auction Cash is a stock clearance and cash recovery route.
It is not another retail outlet.
How The Process Works
Step 1 – Initial Review
Send us details of the stock you’d like us to consider.
The more information you provide, the easier it is for us to assess suitability.
Useful information includes:
-
Product descriptions
-
Quantities
-
Retail pricing
-
Product specifications
-
Product condition
-
Product images
We’ll review the stock and confirm whether it is suitable for the platform.
Step 2 – Spreadsheet Preparation
If approved, we will provide a spreadsheet template.
Each item must have:
-
An item number
-
Product title
-
Description
-
Quantity available
-
Relevant product information
The item number becomes the reference used throughout the auction process.
Step 3 – Product Images
Images must be supplied for every item.
The image filename must match the item number shown on the spreadsheet.
For example:
Item Number: 101
Image Name:
101.jpg
This ensures products can be uploaded and managed accurately.
Step 4 – Auction Listing
Once all information has been received:
-
Products are uploaded
-
Listings are prepared
-
Auction dates are scheduled
-
Lots are published
We will confirm auction dates before the sale goes live.
Fulfilment Standards
Buyer trust is extremely important to us.
Because of this, we only work with suppliers who can meet strict fulfilment standards.
Stock Held By Auction Cash
In some cases we may ask for stock to be shipped to us before the auction.
Where this applies, stock must be dispatched within the agreed timeframe.
Direct Supplier Dispatch
In other cases, stock remains with the supplier.
When an auction closes, we will provide a sold-items report.
Sold items must be dispatched no later than the following working day.
If next-working-day dispatch is not possible, we are unlikely to be a suitable long-term fit.
Fast dispatch creates happy buyers and repeat business.
Payments & Fees
One of the first questions people ask is how the payment side works.
The answer is simple.
Auction Cash does not charge commission to suppliers.
We do not charge listing fees.
We do not charge marketing fees.
We do not deduct auction commission from the amount agreed with you.
Before any stock is listed, we will discuss the stock with you and agree the minimum amount you want to achieve.
If we don’t believe the pricing is likely to work in an auction environment, we’ll tell you honestly at the outset.
If the stock is accepted and sells, you receive the agreed sale value in full.
Our revenue comes from the buyer’s premium charged to the purchaser, not from the supplier.
This means our focus is on creating genuine buyer demand, successful auctions and long-term supplier relationships.
In simple terms:
You tell us what you want to achieve.
We tell you whether we believe it is realistic.
If we agree to proceed and the item sells, you receive the agreed amount in full.
Why Businesses Use Auction Cash
Most businesses don’t approach us because they’ve got bad products.
They approach us because they’ve got:
-
Surplus inventory
-
Clearance stock
-
End-of-line products
-
Cancelled orders
-
Slow-moving stock
-
Warehouse pressure
-
Cash tied up in inventory
We provide another route to move that stock, recover cash and create space for the next opportunity.
If you’ve got stock that offers genuine value or genuine scarcity, we’d be happy to take a look and let you know whether it’s likely to be a good fit for the platform.
Interested In Finding Out More?
If you’ve got surplus stock, clearance lines, discontinued products, collectibles or inventory that’s simply taking up valuable space, we’d be happy to take a look.
We’ll give you an honest opinion on whether we believe it’s likely to be a good fit for the platform.
To discuss further, email info@auctioncash.co.uk or simply reply to the original message and we’ll come back to you.
There is no obligation and no minimum quantity requirement. The most important factor is whether the stock is likely to create genuine buyer interest.
